Plain English Agreement
We believe software agreements should be readable by regular humans. Here are the core rules that keep Tangle a creative, safe, and private space for everyone.
What You Need to Know
We do not claim ownership of any text, photos, doodles, audio clips, or scraps you share on Tangle. You keep all copyright and intellectual property rights to your work.
We are the paper and pencil. Whatever you draw or write remains 100% yours.
Because your one-on-one and group messages are cryptographically end-to-end encrypted on your device, Tangle servers have no mathematical ability to decrypt or inspect the contents of your conversations.
Even if legally compelled, we cannot provide private message transcripts because we do not hold your encryption keys.
You agree not to use Tangle to harass, threaten, spam, distribute malware, or engage in unlawful activities. We reserve the right to revoke account access for abusive behavior or attempts to disrupt our services.
Treat others with kindness, respect personal boundaries, and don't try to break the app.
You can delete your account and associated session keys at any time directly in the app Settings. Upon deletion, your blinded identity token, active sessions, and profile data are permanently erased from our databases.
No dark patterns. If you choose to delete your account, your data is gone.
Detailed Sections
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to create an account and use Tangle. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or legal guardian consent.
We continuously improve Tangle by releasing new features, paper textures, and performance updates. While we strive for 99.9% uptime, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
You may stop using Tangle at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our safety policies, transmit malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access to our infrastructure.
If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we will notify you in advance via the app so you can review them before continuing to use Tangle.
